Siamo lieti di annunciarvi l’arrivo, nel 2014, di lezioni di cucina in lingua inglese tenute da Wendy.
Ve la presentiamo con le sue parole:
Is a Home Economist with a passion for Italian regional food & wine, traditional cooking and taste education. Being married to a Roman, in the last 24 years she has acquired a ‘field’ experience of everything Italian, including the language. Understandably, she got particularly interested in the Italian ways in regards to their regions, customs, diversity of local produce and markets and the ins and outs of food preparation and cooking. She loves teaching “home-cooking” and passing on her knowledge to others through lessons and recipes. Wendy divides her time between Rome and Umbria, where she lives mostly in the countryside overlooking the medieval town of Bevagna. In 2009 she founded a cooking school and food & wine tasting program at the Antonelli San Marco winery estate in Montefalco, Umbria (www.antonellisanmarco.it). She also conducts a spring and autumn personalised enogastronomic tour for Foodies seeking an authentic experience in Rome and Umbria.
Wendy meets Anna
Wendy appeared on “La Prova Del Cuoco” in 2004 to bake one of her favourite Australian desserts, Sticky Date Pudding. Prior to this though, Wendy befriended Anna in 1999 and frequented her cooking school at the time as well as attending numerous food events all over Italy with her. They even met up in Australia once and taught risotto making to the chefs at the trend-setting Manta restaurant, in Sydney.
April 2013 saw the inauguration of Anna’s cooking school in Rome. Wendy was swept away by its fit-out and was naturally overwhelmed when Anna invited her to set up cooking classes for English-speaking clients beginning in 2014.
